European Radon Week 2020
Event Details
The radon week will combine 3 workshops.
VIII ERA workshop and AGM. ERA Workshop”Radon Research in Europe”, 24.02.2020
The ERA workshop will highlight radon research efforts in Europe. Radon research project leaders will present their projects. Also, the workshop will provide the opportunity to discuss future research needs.
MetroRADON Workshop “Harmonisation of radon measurement methodologies and radon priority areas – results of the MetroRADON project”, 25.-26.02.2020
The overall objective of the EMPIR-project “MetroRADON-Metrology for Radon monitoring” project is to enable traceable monitoring at low radon activity concentrations in support of the European Council directive 2013/59/EURATOM (EU-BSS). In this workshop the results of the project will be presented and discussed, focusing on the comparison and harmonization of radon surveys, measurement methodologies and concepts and methodologies for radon priority areas in Europe. Also, the influence of thoron on radon measurements will be addressed.
JRC Workshop”Technical solutions for displaying and communicating indoor radon data”, 27.-28.02.2020
The JRC Workshop aims at discussing technical solutions applied in mapping indoor radon data and communicating the results to the population (website, etc.) and at exploring possible harmonization of these solutions at the European level.
