Intercomparison

INAIL, GIG, and ISS are promoting an exercise of simultaneous measurements of radon and thoron and their progeny in a natural underground site (Domus Aurea, https://colosseo.it/area/domus-aurea/) scheduled for Monday, 13 May 2024.

The exercise will last three days: the positioning of the detectors at the site will take place on Monday 13 (around lunch time), the measurements will last until Thursday 16 and will be organised so as not to interfere with the conference. Participation in the side event is restricted to participants of the ENA workshop and is free of charge.

  • The instruments can be delivered to INAIL together with instructions for the use: in this case, the instrument will be put in place by organisers.
  • At the end of the intercomparison exercise, the instruments must be removed from Domus Aurea by participants.
  • The organization declines any responsibility for any damage or loss or malfunctioning of instruments during the event.

As the total number of participants is limited to 15: if you are interested in the side event, please fill in the following form by 20 April 2024.
